- Description
- Stone Cairn with metal plaques. The two on the front are dedicated to the dead of WW1 and WW2, and on the rear face an information plaque. The memorial is set within a pebbled area surrounded by paving. Inlaid in the grass at various points around the paved area are 10 metal photo plaques of the memorial committee and the residents of the old village. The plaque with the WW1 names on is a duplicate, the original was located in the village church and preserved when that building was lost to the new loch, it can be now be found at the Orbiston Bowling Club, Bellshill.
