Description
Sarcophagus style cenotaph with flanking wing walls on a three stepped base. The WW1 Dedication is contained within a wreath at the centre of the wall of plaques. The WW1 names are on 4 bronze plaques and the WW2 names are on 2 Bronze Plaques which each have metal '1939-1945' lettering in relief on the stonework above them. There is epitaph lettering for each conflict carved into the stonework.

1914-1918/SACRED/TO THE MEMORY OF/THE MEN OF THIS PARISH/WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/IN THE GREAT WAR/"THEIR WORKS DO/FOLLOW THEM" [names on 4 plaques, 3 columns on each plaque- the first plaque is entirely Gordon Highlanders, the 2nd plaque has 3 1/3rd columns of Gordon Highlanders] "FAIR IS THE FATE OF THESE/WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY/THEIR TOMB IS AN ALTAR/FOR TEARS THEY HAVE REMEM-/BRANCE: FOR PITY PRAISE" 1939-1945/[names on 2 plaques, each with 2 columns]/ "THOSE WE CALL THE DEAD,/ARE BREATHERS OF AN AMPLER DAY/FOR EVER NOBLER ENDS"
