Description
A glazed, framed, pre-printed sheet based around 'The "Scrap of Paper"', describing Britain's Treaty obligations which led to its declaring war on Germany - as seen in a number of other places, viz. WMR 40253, 71807, 76534, 78333, 78398. The Chapel's own Dedication is written on a scroll beneath the title scroll, and the names are written in scrolls down each side - all writing in calligraphy. Those who died are not distinguished from those who returned. Those who died are commemorated on WMR 86214, 86240, and 86661.
Inscription
The base of the Roll is a standard, pre-printed design, entitled: The Roll of Honour/ Men who have answered their Country's call in defence of a 'Scrap of Paper' Beneath it is written: From the Members of the Congregation of/ Park Lane Chapel/ AD 1914-18 Then follows the pre-printed element in the centre section - the Names are on scrolls to each side, with no titles
