Description
White marble tablet in a nowy-headed marble frame, with 2 black marble pillars. At the top of the frame are the Lodge name and number; in raised gold lettering' at the foot of the frame are a pair of crossed leaves in relief, flanked by the dates 1914 1918 in raised gold lettering. The names are in lead lettering. (Note: In 1916 Lodge No49 had compiled a Roll of Honour of its 200 members who had enlisted in the Forces, 12 of whom it listed at having died. Of those who were listed on that Roll as still serving in 1916, 11 subsequently died, and were therefore included on this tablet. Our record of that Roll of Honour is WMR 98532).
