Description
The tapestry is hand worked in tent stitch, with a background of ultramarine, with stylised flowers and scrolls in white, yellow, orange, red, pinks, blues, greens and khaki. Inscription is in stylized roman caps, enclosed in stone‐coloured panel on lower right with an orange shield, decorated with a red cross and enclosed in ultramarine border above, together with the dates 1939‐1945, and stitched signature in bottom right hand corner. Beside on the right is vertical text, stitched in red on white.
