MONYPENNY/ OF PITMILLY/ WHO DIED ON 19th FEB. 1900 AGED 21/ FROM WOUNDS HE RECEIVED WHILE GALLANTLY LEADING HIS COMPANY IN ACTION AT PAARDEBERG 18 FEB. 1900/ I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT, I HAVE FINISHED MY COURSE/ I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH, HENCEFORTH THERE IS LAID UP/ FOR ME, A CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS/ WHICH THE LORD, THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE SHALL GIVE ME AT THAT DAY.
