- Description
- A richly carved oak pulpit with four flat panels on an outward curving base with steps leading to the inside of the pulpit on the right hand side . Each panel is surmounted by a trefoil shaped top with differing images set below within a rectangular border of acanthus leaves .Reading from the left panel one has a low relief haloed figure in plate armour and the words "MAKE THEM TO BE " ,panel two has a low relief figure of St George slaying the dragon and the words "NUMBERED WITH THY", panel three has a figure holding a sword with a kneeling semi naked figure at his feet and the words "SAINTS IN GLORY" , panel four has the dedication incised but not coloured .
