Description
From newspaper report. A Memorial Sun Parlour was erected in Merriman Gardens (where the WW1 War Memorial is located). This was a typical park building where people could sit in the sun or shade. Only the bottom part of the Memorial Sun Parlour survives. The bronze plaques on the original structure with the names of the Fallen of both World Wars have since been moved to Leigh Road.
