- A framed copy of a Town Council resolution, bearing the seal of the Corporation, adorned with the Borough Arms and a watercolour of The Tower of Refuge [a well known local landmark in Douglas Bay].

- In appreciation of the many happy associations and friendships which have been formed with the officers and men of all ranks of HMS 'St George' during the war years 1939/45 and that before the departure from Douglas of the Ship's Company the Captain, HMS 'St George', be informed that the Council have been greatly honoured by their presence in the Borough [signed by the Mayor and Town Clerk- Mr P M Shimmin] [case and line breaks unknown]
