- Description
- Two rendered walls set at about 60 degrees to each other meet in a rendered pillar topped with a stone pyramid, on each face of which is carved a composite badge surmounted by a crown, representing the three branches of the Armed Forces - Navy, Army and Air Force, below which is carved 'Euxton Remembers'. There is a black marble panel, with inscribed gold lettering, on the central pillar, upon which two names relating to 'Other Conflicts' are inscribed in gold lettering beneath the Dedication. To its left two columns of WW1 names, and to its right a single column of WW2 names, are similarly inscribed. Nearby an interpretive board provides a history of the project to set up the Memorial, along with full details of those commemorated, including photographs of many of them.
