Description

Brass rectangular plaque mounted on a wooden backboard. Lettering is a mix of Gothic capitals and Roman capitals. The dates of WW1 sit within an incised laurel wreath at the top centre whilst the names are in 3 columns below the dedication.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ &/ IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE/ OF THE MEN WHO FELL/ IN/ THE GREAT WAR/ (Names)/ THEY DESIRE A BETTER COUNTRY, THAT IS AN HEAVENLY; WHEREFORE GOD/ HATH PREPARED FOR THEM A CITY. HEB XI.16.
