SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF MAJOR-GENL SIR WILLIAM EYRE, K.C.B., 2ND SON OF VICE ADMIRAL SIR G. EYRE, K.C.B., WHO DIED IN HIS 54TH YEAR AT BILTON HALL, WARWICKSHIRE, SEPTEMBER 6TH 1859. HISTORY WILL GRATEFULLY RECORD HIS SERVICES FOR HIS COUNTRY, AND AFFECTION CHERISH HIS MEMORY IN THE HEARTS OF HIS FRIENDS AND RELATIVES.
