  • PERTHSHIRE ADVERTISER: 28.04.1920 TIBBERMORE PARISH CHURCH WAR MEMORIAL UNVEILED A dedicatory service in connection with the above was held in Tibbermore Parish Church on Sunday – the Rev. Duncan Cameron, B.D., of Kilsyth, officiating. Taking as his text the words “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lays down his life for his friends” (St. John 15th and 13th) the rev. gentleman delivered an eloquent and touching address, which was listened to with rapt attention by the large congregation, the church being crowded. The memorial consists of a mural tablet and two stained-glass windows. The tablet, which is placed inside the building, on the south wall, between the east gallery and the main east window, was designed and erected by D. Beveridge and Son, Perth Marble Works, York Place. It is of Sicilian marble; there are three panels, set on a moulded base – the side panels being surmounted by a neat moulding and ornamental top. The centre panel is carried higher up, with a richly mounted frieze and cap on top. On it is the inscription:- “In Loving Memory of those who, having gone forth from this Parish, died in the service of their King and country”.
