Description
A stained glass window of fine workmanship and conception depicting a knight of the Round table with an angel hovering in the background, with a names plaque in the windowsill below. The names on the plaque are in no obvious order, symbol depict Killed in Training and Killed in Action, and the names of the served and returned are included. Lettering is engraved in black, the symbols are engraved in red.

  • PERTHSHIRE ADVERTISER: 13.08.1919 MADDERTY WAR MEMORIAL UNVEILED BY VERY REV. PROF. PATERSON Possibly the first war memorial to have reached completion in Scotland was unveiled in Madderty on Thursday. The memorial which is placed in the Parish Church takes the form of a stained glass window of fine workmanship and conception representing a knight of the Round table with an angel hovering in the background. It is the work of the distinguished Glasgow artist, Oscar Paterson.
