- The Scotsman - Monday, 3rd January 1921, page 7 WAR MEMORIALS. KINROSS - The war memorial for the parish and burgh of Kinross was unveiled on Saturday afternoon by the Dean of Faculty, Mr A. H. B. Constable, K.C., in presence of about 500 of the inhabitants . The memorial is erected in front of the County Buildings, Kinross, and is about 25 feet in height. Ex-Provost Anderson presided. Mr A. H. B. Constable, K.C., said the threshold of a new year was a day when memories of the past blended with resolutions for the future. It was therefore singularly appropriate for the solemn act of commemoration and dedication which brought them there. That stone recorded no fewer than 101 names of men from the town and parish of Kinross who had died in the service of their country. It was beyond all comparison the greatest thing that Kinross had ever done.
