THIS PLAQUE UNVEILED ON 4TH JULY 2001,BY/HRH THE PRINCESS ROYAL/COMMEMORATES AT THE SITE OF THEIR OFFICES THE STAFF OF THE SCOTTISH WOMEN'S/HOSPITALS FOR FOREIGN SERVICE IN THEIR VOLUNTARY, HEROICAND ILLUSTRIOUS WORK/DURING WW1 MANY OF WHOM GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR. ON THIS DAY,/ RECOGNITION WAS GRANTED TO THOSE BRAVE WOMEN IN THE CITY OF THEIR ORIGIN/ ALSO HONOURED ARE ALL WOMEN WHO CONTRIBUTED SO MUCH TO THE ALLIED CAUSE IN THE TWO WORLD WARS
