Description
Victorian clock tower built of stone blocks located in the middle of the village bearing stone tablets. Central tablet has a semi-circular arch and curved stone moulding at top and a laurel wreath enclosing a Latin cross positioned within arch. Three columns of names with incised inscriptions in black for those who served and gold lettering for those who died. Additional tablet positioned immediately below, as well as two smaller tablets with incised inscription on the 9 o'clock face of clock tower.

(Names)/ (Names)/ "Tutored to guide the team, to plough the furrow,/ Fodder the kine and tend the lambs at birth,/ they but rejoiced to feel their work was thorough,/ proud that their simple lives were lives of worth./ rang in their ears the call and lo, a wonder;/ Those whom we knew as breakers of the clod,/ Fined in the furnace, tried by battle-thunder,/ Rose to great deeds and found the face of God./ Ay, though from things held dear, from wife & mother,/ Homestead and harvest-field, they tarried far,/ Love of their England, stronger than all other,/ Lifted their souls through weariments of war./ Now to our arms returning some their story/ Tell of the trench, the charge, the comrade's fall./ Some we behold not: They have passed in glory -/ Glory for those, but honour to them all.
