Description
Elaborate wall tablet, with the inscription in Latin. The attached reference helps to translate the memorial, showing his role in the English Civil Wars, and that he died at Oxford, proving that this is a bona-fide war memorial. With thanks to Mike Morley of Wigtown for finding and researching this memorial
