Description
A stone of remembrance of Welsh slate, on the front face of which is a sculpted representation of the Prince of Wales's feathers above a polished black tablet inset into the stone with an inscription in white lettering. On the reverse of the stone is a small rectangular black tablet with a short extract from a Hedd Wyn poem inscribed in the English translation together with the words "We will remember them" in English and a Welsh translation. The stone of remembrance is backed by a semi-circular slate wall on which roundels with the insignia of the six historic regiments are depicted. The wall has a tapering height, highest at the centrepoint. The stone and wall are fixed to a base of slate and are approached by a pathway of slate flagstones: the design of which represents the five black ribbons sewn into the back collar of the regiment's tunics.
