Description

Addition to upright, black granite, family gravestone which is on a granite footer. The lettering is incised. The top is stilted and decorated with a bird holding a leaf in its beak framed with a decorated circle of scrolls, leaves and flowers.

Inscription

…../AND HIS ELDER SON/DUNCAN [MACLEAN]/4TH BATT. SEAFORTH HIGHLANDERS/ DIED IN FRANCE, 27TH FEBRUARY 1915/AGED 24 YEARS/…. At the foot of the stone "Gus am bris an la, agus an teich na sgailean."
