- Eleven roads running south from Hammondstreet Cheshunt named after soldiers who died in WW1 and who are commemorated on Goffs Oak Cenotaph (IWM reference 1127). The roads were created in 1996/7 as part of an estate development . (Bloomfield Road , Lovering Road . Markham Road , Wells Close , Saville Close , Burgess Close , Sadler Close , Wilkinson Close , Gladding Road , Everett Close , Sell Close ) . Other soldiers commemorated on the Goffs Oak Cenotaph are not so commemorated and it is unclear why these particular names were selected .
