Description
A three stepped octagonal base surmounted by an octagonal plinth, tapering shaft and crucifix. Inscription carved onto four sides of the plinth. Carved floral and foliate decoation on the surbase above the plinth. Contemprary accounts state that the memorial was a copy of the medieval cross at Newark but the resemblance is tenuous.
