- Roughly dressed stone cross on a two-stepped base. Incised lettering on base of 6 o'clock face and top step of 6 o'clock face as well as on base of 3 o'clock face and top step of 12 o'clock face.

- 6 o'clock Top face:TO THE DEAR MEMORY OF/ PHILIP MUSGRAVE NEELD/ WROUGHTON/ OF WOOLLEY PARK/ MAJOR BERKS YEOMANRY/ BORN AUGUST 30TH 1887/ KILLED IN ACTION AT GAZA/ PALESTINE/ APRIL 19TH 1917 AGED 29. 6 o'clock face Bottom: HE WHOM THIS CROSS COMMEMORATES/ WAS NUMBERED AMONG THOSE MEN WHO AT THE CALL OF KING AND COUNTRY LEFT/ ALL THAT WAS DEAR TO THEM, ENDURING HARDNESS FACING DANGER AND FINALLY/ PASSING OUT OF SIGHT OF MAN BY THE PATH OF DUTY AND SELF SACRIFICE/ GIVING UP THEIR OWN LIVES THAT OTHERS MIGHT LIVE IN FREEDOM/ LET THOSE WHO COME AFTER SEE THAT HIS NAME BE NOT FORGOTTEN. 3 o'clock face, top: ALSO IN GRATEFUL MEMORY/ OF THOSE IN THE BERKS/ YEOMANRY, WHO GAVE THEIR/ LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY/ 1914-1918. 12 o'clock face: GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS/THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.
