TO THE/ GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF LIEUTENANT/ BERNARD BRADLEY/ MRCS LRCP/ ROYAL ARMY MEDICAL CORPS/ AGED 42/ WHO LEFT HIS PRACTICE IN THIS VILLAGE/ TO SERVE HIS COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR/ HE WAS KILLED/ ON THE 17TH OF FEBRUARY 1916/ IN THE YPRES SALIENT/ BY THE EXPLOSION OF A GERMAN SHELL IN AN/ ADVANCED AID POST WHERE HE WAS TENDING/ NINE WOUNDED SOLDIERS WHO DIED WITH HIM/ "YOUR PASSPORT SHALL BE THE BLESSING OF/ HIM IN WHOSE FOOTSTEPS YOU HAVE/ TRODDEN UNTO WHOSE SICK YOU/ HAVE MINISTERED AND FOR/ WHOSE CHILDREN YOU HAVE CARED
