- Recreation ground (which has houses on all 4 sides) with a stone of dedication, which bears 2 metal plaques. The field is a mixture of grassland and trees.

- On one side of the stone- Miss Whalley's Field/In 1939 Geraldine Whalley donated this field/to the children of Lancaster in perpetuity./The gift was to honour the memory of her brother,/Capt Julian Lawson Whalley MC, who died on/3rd Dec 1917 at the battle of Cambrai in WW1./The Friends of Miss Whalley's Field.
