- Approximately square off white marble tablet , within a wide nowy headed black border the inscription and names incised and coloured black ( this description taken from the image on this entry which is a reproduction of part of a newspaper article from the Catford Journal dated 3.7.1920 and written when the memorial was dedicated .)
