Description

Stone tablet in the shape of a roll , at bottom left an anchor , supported by an upright horizontal stone slab with a stepped base and pediment , lettering in cast lead .

IN LOVING MEMORY OF/HENRY WEST R.N./THE BELOVED HUSBAND OF/ELIZA HARRIETT WEST/WHO PASSED PEACEFULLY AWAY/FEB 26TH 1932/AGED 79 YEARS/ ALSO OF HENRY SEYMOUR/THE ONLY DEARLY BELOVED SON /OF THE ABOVE/WHO WAS LOST AT SEA THROUGH/THE TORPEDOING OF/HM HOSPITAL SHIP "ASTURIAS"/MARCH 21ST 1917/IN HIS 27TH YEAR/THOUGH DEAD THEY STILL LIVE IN THE/ HEARTS OF THOSE WHO LOVE THEM/ALSO OF /ELIZA HARRIETT WEST/WIFE AND MOTHER/OF THE ABOVE/WHO FELL ASLEEP/OCTOBER 31ST 1937/AGED 75 YEARS/
