- ON 20TH MAY 1941 EXTENSIVE / BOMB DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THIS /CHURCH BY A HOSTILE AIRCRAFT/EAST WALL AND S.E. CORNER WERE/SHATTERED ALL WINDOWS BLOWN/OUT THE WHOLE ROOF WAS MOVED/AND MUCH OTHER DAMAGE DONE/FINAL RESTORATION WAS CARRIED OUT IN 1952.A SOUTH CHAPEL/AND SOUTH VESTRY BEING ADDED/AND THEY SHALL RAISE UP/THE FORMER DESOLATIONS.
