Description
Rough hewn celtic cross set on a shaft with a carved sword and tapering plinth with a square base. The dedication is on the foot of the shaft with the WW1 names on the 12o'clock face of the plinth and WW2 names on a small tablet infront of the base. The whole is set in a war memorial garden with two dedicatory tablets.

On shaft: TO THE / HONOURED / MEMORY / OF THE MEN / FROM FROM / THE PARISH OF / CLEOBURY / MORTIMER / WHO GAVE / THEIR LIVES / IN THE / GREAT WAR / 1914 - 1918 On tablet: 1939-1945 (Names) On plinth: LEST WE FORGET // 1914-1918 (Names) On base: LEST WE FORGET On church wall upper tablet: THE WAR MEMORIAL GARDEN / DEDICATED BY THE BISHOP OF HEREFORD / ON THE 28th JUNE 1989 / FOLLOWING RECONSTRUCTION FUNDED BY THE / PARISH COUNCIL AND THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION / BASED ON DESIGNS BY PUPILS OF / LACON CHILDE SCHOOL. Lower tablet: ON THE / 8th OF MAY 1995 CLEOBURY MORTIMER / UNITED TO COMMEMORATED THE END OF / WORLD WAR II IN 1945. / THIS STONE WAS DEDICATED ON THE / 15th OF AUGUST 1995.
