Description
This is a triple kerbed grave with a full width headstone. This is assembled of three mottled marble panels each inset into a stone surround. All three panels are on kerb stones. The centre slab has a separate castellated top that has the family crest in the middle. The centre slab has lead lettering. The lettering of the south panel is recessed. The north panel is blank.

HERE RESTS/ OUR BELOVED ELDEST SON/ JAMES RONALD GLENNIE ADAM M.A. TRINITY COLLEGE CAMBRIDGE/ LIEUTENANT IN THE KING’S DRAGOON GUARDS/ HE SERVED THROUGHOUT THE GREAT BOER WAR IN THE LOCH’S HORSE AND IN/ THE KING’S DRAGOON GUARDS AND DIED AT HYTHE THE 7TH JULY 1906 IN HIS 29TH YEAR. ALSO JAMES ADAM M.D. OF MALLING PLACE/ WHO ENTERED INTO HIS REST THE 25TH OCTOBER 1908 IN HIS 75TH YEAR. ALSO IN MEMORY OF GORDON ACHESON ADEM B.A. CAMBRIDGE/ CAPTAIN EAST KENT REGIMENT 5TH SON OF JAMES ADAM M.D.,/ WHO WAS KILLED WHILST LEADING HIS MEN INTO ACTION AT/ UMM EL HANNA IN MESOPOTANIA, 21ST JAN 1918, AGED 28 YEARS RESTING IN THE EVERLASTING GOODNESS OF GOD THE BURIAL PLACE OF/ JAMES ADAM M.D. OF MALLING PLACE/ FORMERLY SURGEON H.E.I.C.S. H.M. SERVICE BENGAL/ DURING THE INDIAN MUTINY 1857 – 59 IN MEMORY OF/ CHARLES EDGAR HARVEY ADAM/ 4TH SON OF JAMES ADAM M.D./ WHO DIED OCTOBER 13TH 1917/ AGED 33 YEARS ALSO/ WALTER ADAM LIENT EAST KENT YEOMANRY ATTACHED MACHINE GUN CORPS/ THIRD SON OF JAMES ADAM M.D./ WHO DIED NOV. 3RD 1918/ AFTER BEING SEVERLY WOUNDED NEAR ARRAS/ IN FRANCE IN MARCH 1918/ AGED 37 YEARS.
