- Description
- Wall mounted, framed & glazed, decorative Roll of Honour document. Names handwritten in black ink, title & certain other letters printed in red ink. Roll consists of a nowy-headed central inscription area with a white cross in front of a red sun burst-like circular design at centre top, subsequently bordered by a draping foliated design in black ink & further enhanced by a dual red ink line. Line drawings in red ink of an angel with head bowed is positioned in the upper left margin whilst another drawing of an angelic figure praying, adorns the upper right margin position. Both angels are perched on side brackets. Beneath & to the left of the two Naval names is a black & red design of a wooden-hulled, c18th. century Man 'o' War ship with sails spread.
