Description
A very large ornate panel at the end of a large room which used to be the Drill Hall for the local Territorial Battalion. Now occupied by Barnsley Chronicle and Pen & Sword Books Ltd. Floor to ceiling, with gold lettering on black metal. A marble surround consists of pillars on either side, a plinth on three supports below and a heavy, curving upper section containing a coloured York and Lancaster badge. Commemorates 8,814 men of the Regiment who fell in the First World War.
