- Display case showing his OBE medal and with a narrative of the WW2 deeds which earned him the OBE
- Inscription
- THE VERY REVEREND/Donald Currie Caskie/MA OBE OCF/(1902-1983)/A native of Bowmore, Dr Donald Caskie was minister of the Scots/Kirk in Paris when France was invaded by the Germans in 1940/He stayed to organise the escape of British civilians but soon found/himself the vital link in an escape route for British and Allied/servicemen. Inevitably he was betrayed and imprisoned by the/Gestapo. He was saved from execution at the last moment owing to/the appeals of a German padre. The OBE displayed here was/awarded to Dr Caskie in 1945.
