A white marble tablet with a nowy head, mounted onto a grey marble tablet. The dedication is inscribed on the white tablet in black lettering.

In Loving Memory of/ HUGH LOUSADA BARROW,/ CAPTAIN SOUTH LANCASHIRE REGIMENT,/ WHO WAS KILLED IN ACTION AT/ TOKAR, IN THE SOUDAN,/ ON THE 19TH OF FEBRUARY 1891,/ WHILST GALLANTLY PERFORMING HIS/ DUTY AS BRIGADE MAJOR TO THE FORCE./ BORN AT RAI BARELI, OUDH,/ ON THE 22ND OF FEBRUARY 1861./ THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY HIS/ BROTHERS & SISTERS.
