Description
Gravespace delineated by square kerbs with Peon post to each corner and centrally in bottom kerb, headstone inserted centrally in top kerb. Space is capped, gravel covered and holds large round vase within. Grey stone is vertical with oval top dropping to square topped shoulders, narrows below shoulders and widens again toward base, stands on large horizontal rectangular chamfered foundation. Large decorative wreath to headstone top centre flanked by leaves to each side, fluted column type decoration to each side of stone and inscription in black lead lettering to centre.

In Loving Memory Of/ WILLIAM/ THE BELOVED HUSBAND OF/ SARAH SANDERS,/ (OF HOLBEACH ST JOHN’S)/ WHO DIED 9TH MAY 1931/ IN HIS 78TH YEAR./ ALSO OF SARAH SANDERS/ WHO DIED 28TH APRIL 1940/ IN HER 93RD YEAR./ AT REST./ ALSO OF HARRY SANDERS,/ KILLED IN ACTION IN FRANCE/ BETWEEN 20TH AND 23RD APRIL 1917/ AGED 24 YEARS./ SAFE HOME AT LAST.
