Description
A photographic board, carved from a dark wood and mounted onto a wall in the social club. The board includes images of 40 men framed in individual panels, with their names written on brass below, who fought and died in the First World War. Down the centre of the board are two additional larger panels. The first is a dedication printed in gold paint on a wooden background. Underneath an addition has been made with the names of the men who fought and died in the Second World War, also printed in gold paint on a wooden background.

1914. - IN MEMORY OF THE HORSMONDEN FALLEN - 1918./ ( Names)/ Those whom this scroll/ commemorates were numbered/ among those who at the call/ of King and Country left/ all that was dear to them,/ endured hardness faced danger/ and finally passed out/ of the sight of men/ by the path of duty and/ self-sacrifice, giving up/ their own lives that others/ might live in freedom,/ let those who come after see to it/ that their names be not forgotten./ 1939-1945/ Lance Cpl.
