- Tapering pillar surmounted by cross. Plaques mounted on four protruding piers. Whole mounted on five stepped hexagonal base. Sword of sacrifice on west and east faces. Wreathes on all faces.

- 2017: Some of the plaques were badly weathered 2005: Vandalism with column pushed from cenotaph causing it to smash. 2003: Memorial in a poor conservation state. 1992: Re-pointing of blocks needed, some cracking, spalling and moss.
