Description
A white stone obelisk mounted on a square plinth, with a carved stone laurel wreath central on the 6 o clock face with engraved inscription located underneath. Carved inscriptions into the stone also feature on the 9 o clock and 3 o clock faces of the memorial.

3 o clock face: In Grateful Remembrance/ of the people of Colwick/ who gave their lives/ in times of conflict/ so others may live in peace 6 o clock face: They shall grow not old/ as we that are left grow old/ Age shall not weary them/ nor the years condemn/ At the going down of the sun/ and in the morning/ we will remember them 9 o clock face: When You Go Home/ Tell Them of Us and Say/ For Their Tomorrow/ We Gave out Today
