Description

A stone memorial wall with three tiers down either side and three stone steps at the base. On the central wall three marble tablets are mounted with a dedication in black lettering to those who fought in the First and Second World Wars and subsequent conflicts. On the first tier to the left and right of the marble tablets additional dedications have been included in black lettering- both for WW1 and WW2. The monument sits on a bricked platform, with three stone benches and hedging down the edges. There is a flag pole on the wall from which the Union Flag is perpetually flown. There are also two interpretation boards -one generally about the memorial, the other about the former Nurses Home
