Description
Tablet with names: associated memorial is St Margaret's W1 clock (see report 69748). Brass plaque on a stained, scrolled, carved wooden base. There is a wooden shelf below the plaque. The top and base of the plaque have a border of crossed oak leaves. The lettering is in black. Dimensions: 1.8m x 0.6m. The base of the plaque has the date AD 1919, with the names of the vicar and church wardens in the centre, between the date.
Inscription
In memorium / The officers and men from this parish who fell in the World War 1914 - 1919. A new clock has been placed in the tower and this tablet erected by public subscription. Listed at the base are the year AD 1919, either side of the following names: T H Archdale Vicar; J Arkless; W T Logan; Church Wardens.
