- Description
- The Roll of Honour is printed on heavy duty paper and surrounded by a white card. The whole is contained within a moulded wooden frame and glazed. Three crests line on the top which are the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Royal Coat Arms, all in coloured and gold paint. Michael Farrar Bell's maker's mark, the initials 'MF' over a bell, appears between the hind legs of the unicorn in the Royal Arms as his signature. The inscription is under the emblems and followed by the Roll of Honour. The Roll of Honour is presented in two columns, the left column records the names who served and died at the First World War and the right column records the names who served and died at the Second World War. The lettering of inscription is in roman capitals and lower case, and the lists of names are printed in black roman capitals.
