Rectangular plaque with a double line border, the inscription is in cursive style lettering.
Inscription
In loving memory of John Henry Harford, / Lieut. 3rd Bm South Wales Borderers, eldest son of / John Charles Harford of Falcondale & Blaise Castle. / He joined on Sept. 16th 1914 & was severely wounded / in Gallipoli June 30th 1915, whilst attached to the / 2nd Bn Royal Fusiliers joined the 1st Bn South / Wales Borderers in France May 1916, and was / killed when on patrol Oct. 26th 1916 aged 20 years. / He left a letter stating that he expected to be killed & was quite ready and willing to die for his country.
