Description
Square bronze plaque surmounted by a Latin cross on a rocky mount. Square is topped by a cornice with decorative moulding of fruit and birds. Centrally under the cross is the inscription 'GLORIA IN EXCELSIS.' Plain border surrounds the tablet. Inner receeded border contains 14 regimental badges in relief, with a scroll featuring 'GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS.' Central panel is divided into 3 sections featuring names. Underneath the top border is a relief carving of hour angels worshipping the star of Bethlehem; surrounded on 3 sides by a reeded border with regimental badges at each corner. A heraldic shield containing St. George and the Dragon is featured, alongside a shield with St. Andrew and his cross. Raised lettering.
