- Description
- Highly detailed stained glass window comprising three main sections with tracery above. The centre section comprises two sets of three lights, one set above the other, and depicts the entrance into paradise with Christ surrounded by angels in the top set of three lights, above lights depicting St George, St Michael and a host of angels. The left- and -right- sections each comprise two lights: the left lights depict War via heroic figures of the Middle Ages, Knights, Crusaders and Ancient Britons above the words "War" and "Devastation"; the right lights depict Peace via allegorical figures of music, love, prosperity and cord, together with depictions of nature and life, above the words "Peace" and "Plenty". The tracery is equally ornate and includes the words "Justice" and "Mercy" above the War lights, and "Love" and "Joy" above the Peace lights.
