Wall mounted rectangular wooden backboard on which is mounted a brass plaque. Engraved inscription enclosed by illustrations. Top left, is the Queen's West Surrey Regiment & on the right, the badge of The King's Shropshire Light Infantry. Inscription in black & red.

TO THE LOVED MEMORY OF /GEORGE KERSHAW CHURCH / PTE. QUEENS WEST SURREY REGIMENT/ KILLED IN THE BATTLE OF THE SOMME / SEPTEMBER 28TH 1916- AGED 26/ ALSO OF JOHN VICTOR CHURCH/ 2ND LIEUT. KING'S SHROPSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY/WHO DIED AT ALEXANDRIA FROM WOUNDS RECEIVED IN PALESTINE / DECEMBER 10TH . 1917.- AGED 20/SONS OF GEORGE HENRY CHURCH OF KENILWORTH,/ AND ELIZA HIS WIFE/ WHO DIED FEBRUARY 5TH 1910./ AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF / GEORGE HENRY CHURCH / WHO DIED FEBRUARY 27TH 1919/ LEAVING A BEQUEST TO THIS CHURCH AS A MEMORIAL TO HIS SONS./
