Upper board: A.M.D.G./ ET IN PIAM MEMORIAM ALUMNORUM SANCT CUTHBERTI QUI/ ANNIS MCMXIV - MCMXVIII PRO PATRIA REGE DEO PERIERUNT/ (Names)/ ET SI QUIS ALUMNUS NOMINE NON INSCRIPTO MORTUUS EST/ R.I.P. Trans: FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE BOYS OF ST. CUTHBERT WHO BETWEEN THE YEARS 1914 - 1918 DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY THEIR KING & THEIR GOD. AND IF ANY OLD BOY DIED WITH THEIR NAME NOT INSCRIBED, MAY THEY REST IN PEACE.
