  • Commonwealth War Graves Commission registers: Gunner Harold Leslie Ashpool of 239 Battery, 77 Heavy Anti Aircraft Regiment of the Royal Artillery (regimental number 1529320) died on 6/11/1943. He is buried in grave 2.E.45 at Kanchanaburi War Cemetery in Thailand. They record him as the son Frederick and Ethel Mary Ashpool, and the husband of Violet Elise Ashpool of Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
