Description

Oak screen with triangular carved pediment supported by two freestanding rectangular pillars, between which is an archway. The bases of each pillar are rectangular and feature individual carved panels. Central in the space between the two pillar bases is a freestanding pedestal of the same style.

Base panel: 1914-1918/ (Names)/ GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR/ GOD, KING AND COUNTRY. Stand-alone panel: ALSO SERVED 1914-18/ (Names) Base panel: THESE ARE THEY WHICH/ CAME OUT OF GREAT/ TRIBULATION. THEY/ SHALL HUNGER NO/ MORE NEITHER/ THIRST ANY MORE/ AND GOD SHALL/ WIPE AWAY ALL TEARS/ FROM THEIR EYES.
