- Description
- Two white marble plaques (one for each conflict) each on a backing of grey marble. The WW1 plaque has the Huddleston coat of arms as they have been lords of the manor (and adjacent castle) for centuries. Names are in two columns on both plaques, carved lettering in black.
- Inscription
- Upper plaque: SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF THE PARISH AND CONGREGATION/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918/ (Names)/ "They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old/ Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn/ At the going down of the sun and in the morning/ We will remember them." Lower plaque: THESE GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE SECOND/ WORLD WAR 1939-1945/ (Names)
