To the Glory of God and in memory of/DONALD PATRICK COLIN CAMPBELL/of Ballidealan, Lieutenant RN/who was drowned off the Isle of Wight in Submarine A3/on February 2nd 1912 aged 25 years/This tablet is erected by the Duke of Argyll KG and members of/the Argyllshire Club to commemorate his death in the course of duty/"I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea"/R.I.P.
